On June 16 2021 the National Poet Laureate hub as well as The Alexandra Arts Academy , The South African music Education trust and the Zakes Nkosi Foundation came together to host A very inspirational event, At the Alexan resource centre.

It was a Beautiful youth day Celebration filled with art, diversity and education ,where the youth of today and thier elders came together through the power of art and poetry.

Throughout the day we enjoyed performances from the AAA , Samet and the community of Alexandra. We also go some keen insight from poetry greats such as Mongane Wally Serote and many other key note addresses from the elders of Alexandra.
